Welcome to San Gabriel Private School
We are an educational community of the Society of Jesus in Ecuador, with over 160 years of history shaping conscious, competent, compassionate, and committed women and men. From early childhood through High School, we accompany our students in a formative journey that balances faith, knowledge, and action, inspired by Ignatian spirituality and guided by a strong vocation for service and social transformation.
We promote an education of academic and human excellence, supported by the InnovAcción XXI educational transformation project, which fosters the use of active methodologies, critical thinking, and student leadership. We are a space where each student can develop their potential, grow with commitment, and become an agent of change in their community, always under the loving guidance of Our Lady of Sorrows, whom we venerate with deep devotion as heirs of the Prodigy of Love of April 20, 1906.

We aim for students to develop autonomy, strategic thinking, and responsibility in their learning process.
High School
First, Second, and Third Year of High School
We prepare our students so that Gabrielinos develop the skills needed for higher education and the workforce. We foster critical thinking, autonomy, and social responsibility, ensuring a high-quality education aligned with their vocation.
InnovAcción XXI Educational Transformation Project
This project aims to transform the education of the six institutions that make up the Network of Ignatian Educational Units of Ecuador (RUEI-E). It began in the 2016–2017 academic year and has focused on changing the teaching and learning process, organization, internal culture, and school management.
